Flashy promises to... Darken Google up a touch

"I can't live without Google - love it or hate it, google is almost everyones starting point when it comes to finding stuff on the internet.

There is now an energy-saving version of google available on the web. Blackle.com serves Google search engine results, but on a black background rather than the usual white one. It saves power because displaying a black pixel on screen uses less energy than a white one.

My computing spidey sense says this probably applies more to the older CRT monitors, but either way it's can't hurt, and it makes a welcome change to look at google ina different colour once in a while."
